Hilfe. Also ich bekomme glatt Gänsehaut wenn ich Morcheeba (Home) nach langer Zeit wieder in gewohntem Sound und mir Skye Edwards hauchzarten Stimme höre. Sie hatte die Band 2004 verlassen und eine Solokarriere gestartet. Morcheeba hatte mit mehreren anderen Sängerinnen sich versucht und auch stilistisch ging es rockig-poppiger zu. Nun aber sind sie wieder da, wo sie angefangen haben. Ich mags. Sehr.

Das neue Album Blood Like Lemonade kommt am 07.06. raus.

Und weil es so schön war in live. Zu hören am 20.07. in Köln, im Gloria Theater.

Auf Ninatune ist ja verlass. Hört man mal wieder :)

Mr. Scruff and Kirsty Almeida were in a recording studio. It was very dusty and covered in cobwebs. As they tidied up, a small spider appeared. It ran up and down the keyboard, trying to escape. Mr. Scruff pressed the record button and Kirstry began to sing. A big spider appeared and played the bassline. When the tune was finished, Mr. Scruff and Kirsty put the spiders in a pickle jar and in honour of their studio guest, called the tune ‘Pickled Spider’.

Alif Tree ist ein französischer Musiker, der sich, auch wenn man es nicht direkt gehört hat, dem Downbeat verschrieben hat. Seine Musik ist sehr vielseitig, am liebsten würde ich gleich alles hier präsentieren. Es gibt innovative Stücke, loungiges, wie dieses hier, klassischen Trip-Hop, wie man ihn aus Wien kennt, swinglastiges meine ich auch schon gehört zu haben. Immerhin gibt es seit diesem Jahr sein drittes Album, “Clockwork”. Entsprechend ist die Fülle an Videos bei Youtube, ich kann mich kaum entscheiden. Ich nehme einfach das, was mich gleich als erstes fasziniert hat. Beide, das erste und das folgende, stammen übrigens vom neuen Album.

Ein Lied dieser Band habe ich schon die ganze Zeit gehört. Aus einem Sampler stach es heraus. Und nun hatte ich die Zeit, alle anzuhören und ich muss euch sachen: Klasse. Belleruche kommt aus GB, soweit ich das eruieren konnte und der Stil ist durchgehend soulig. Sehr gediegen und ideal zum chillen.

Acos CoolKAs sind zwei Jungs aus Russland. Sibirien um genau zu sein. Irgendwie sind sie wohl mit elektronischer Musik in kontakt gekommen und machen nun selbst welche. Eine gelungene Mischung aus Elektro-Pop, Downbeat, Ambient und 80′s wie ich finde. Bislang gehen 7 releases und einige mehr Remixe auf ihr Konto. Bei Myspace kann man ein paar mehr Tracks hören. Acos CoolKAs are from Siberia, Russia. They are inspired by Kraftwerk and some other artists. And that’s good, so we have some nice Elektro-Pop, Downbeat, Ambient and 80′s sounds. Till now, they have 7 releases some more remixes made. At Myspace you can hear more tracks.

Das war “Little Bit” von Lykke Li eine erfolgreiche schwedische und in New York lebende Musikerin. Hierzulande habe ich noch nichts von ihr gehört. 2008 hat sie ihre ersten Stücke veröffentliche, darunter ihr Album Youth Novels, in Schweden auf Platz 3 und auch in Norwegen in den Charts. Ihre Musik ist geprägt von verschiedenen Stilmitteln, darunter natürlich auch elektronsiche ;-) Und jetzt noch “I’m Good. I’m Gone”.

Boozoo Bajou haben ihr neues Album veröffentlicht. Vor vier Wochen. Naja, viel in Bewegung bei mir ;-) Jedenfalls ist Grains jetzt raus und es ist sehr smooth. Schon fast jazzig. Genau das richtige für gemütliche Abende. Wer das Album ganz hören möchte, der besucht einfach mal die Myspace Seite, dort kann man reinhören.

Schenis ist ein Projekt von Nina Zach. Die österreichische Musikerin macht vor allem Jazziges, auch wenn das bei diesem Stück nicht sofort zu hören ist. Soll heißen, wer sich für die gute Dame interessiert, der sollte auch auf weniger Lo-Fi-Elemente gefasst sein. Meine Musik ist gerade etwas ruhiger, viel Veränderung braucht nicht auch noch hektische Musik ;-)

So, if you are interested in Nina Zachs music, maybe you here much less lo-fi-elements as in this video. At the moment, i hear smoothies sound. An dieser Stelle wollte ich 2-3 Videos einfügen. Aber Postishead macht so viele tolle Sachen, dass es hier nicht die besten sonder einfach nur ein paar Stücke gibt, und zwar die, die mir im Moment sehr gut gefallen :)

Portishead are out of contract. After the third album, they are free, and don’t know, what they should to. On her Myspace-Blog they ask, how to sell music in future. They wouldn’t give it for free, it’s hard work to made it. A lot of ideas are in the comments of that post.

At this place, i want to preset some videos. They have made so much nice music, that you can here now only a small part of the range of Portishead.
